Coffee with calm, crafted daily

"Rolled in just after they unlocked the doors this morning looking for a good caffeine fix, and man, Kula Yoga and Coffee in Port Charlotte really hit the mark. The whole place has a super clean modern aesthetic that just puts you in a good mood right off the bat. Up front by the main counter they have a sweet little cooler built right in holding all kinds of cold fruit drinks and energy beverages. If you are looking for food, they keep it pretty simple with a modest selection of fresh pastries, some avocado toast, smoothies, and hot coffee drinks. They also display branded mugs, shirts, and yoga mats around the shop if you want to grab some gear while waiting on your order. The coffee setup here is genuinely impressive, pulled on a really sleek La Marzocco machine that means business. I went with a hot latte, and the gentleman behind the counter was super welcoming and friendly, taking the time to pour some brilliant latte art right across the top. The flavor was exceptionally smooth without any bitter edge, making it worth the stop all on its own. While waiting for my drink, I took a look at the layout. Up front you have a comfortable setup with a couch, a couple armchairs, a small window counter with seating, and a few tables that can comfortably handle anywhere from two to six people. There is even a classy-looking round bench seat mounted on the wall that catches your eye right away. I grabbed one of the tables to set up my laptop and get some work done for a bit, and the vibes were totally spot on. Towards the back of the building, there is another neat seating area featuring a bench, a few extra chairs, and dedicated storage racks for folks bringing their own yoga mats. Further around the corner in the rear, they have a public restroom, a workout room, and a big open studio where they host their regular yoga classes. While I was sitting there typing away, a local group came in and gathered around one of the larger tables to chat, giving the whole spot a great neighborhood feel where friends naturally come together. I would definitely recommend dropping by if you are in town. Oh and side note, the internet here was fast, which was a great surprise."

"This is hands down my new favorite coffee spot! Everything was amazing. The croissants are so buttery and flaky—truly the best I’ve ever had. We tried the Bodhi and Lana coffees along with the Funky Monkey smoothie, and all of it was delicious. The bagels were also so yummy! Absolutely recommend coming here."

"Coffee is so good! First-time customer here. They have tempting specials, but for my first visit I went with a classic vanilla iced latte. It was roughly $8, which is definitely on the higher end compared to other coffee shops. However, considering they use higher-quality syrups instead of the typical MONIN or TORANI used by many “coffee shops”, along with organic milk, I do think it’s worth the cost. Most importantly, the coffee is delicious!"
